Renowned French street artist Jo Di Bona will create a mural in downtown Atlanta as part of ELEVATE, Atlanta’s public art festival.
Jo Di Bona’s previous collaborations include work with Miami-based Street Art for Mankind, a global initiative that aims to raise awareness and funds to end child slavery through art, and the NGO Première Urgence Internationale, which helps victims of war, natural disaster and economic collapse.
In cooperation with this year’s ELEVATE Atlanta Public Art Festival and its theme of “Intersectionality,” the artist, whose installation commemorating the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks was featured on the front page of the New York Times, will create a new piece at 57 Peachtree street. The 140-foot mural will highlight the artist’s unique style- a fusion of stenciling, spray painting and collage- that he refers to as “Pop Graffiti.”
